Even though COVID-19 is on everyone's mind, there is still a lot of confusion. Rumors, misinformation and even politics can make it difficult to separate fact from fiction about COVID-19 and vaccines. To help us sort through what is and is not known, Dr. Jay Levy, Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, will address some common questions and concerns. Topics may include how scientists were able to develop COVID-19 vaccines so quickly and if they are safe; how vaccines help protect against infection; and how long protection may last. He'll also discuss factors particularly relevant to older adults and those who care for them. While he does not have a crystal ball to tell you the specific date you can get a vaccine or when life will return to normal, he will explain in an easy to understand way what is currently known. We'll also have time for Q&A.
