ABOUT US
NEXT Village promotes better health, fosters an active lifestyle and fights social isolation among the large and growing 60+ demographic in northeast San Francisco. We know that better physical and mental health result from the increased community interaction and personalized support available to members of our Village.
NEXT Village welcomes and actively encourages an inclusive and diverse community of members, staff, Board of Directors and volunteers. Inclusiveness and diversity mean welcoming all and excluding no one because of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, physical abilities, religious beliefs or political beliefs.
NEXT Village SF is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2009. Our name stands for Northeast Exchange Team, and our Village has always been committed to the principles of teamwork and exchange in all that we do.
Our mission is to provide residents of San Francisco’s northeast corner with the confidence and practical means to live safely and comfortably in their homes and in their community as they age.
We are part of the nation-wide Village to Village Network, dedicated to improving the management of all villages, as well as the California Village Movement.
We are also a member of CASE, Coalition of Agencies Serving the Elderly, and the SF Budget Justice Coalition.

We serve North Beach, Telegraph Hill, Polk Gulch, Russian Hill, Northern Waterfront, The Marina, Nob Hill, The Embarcadero, Cow Hollow, Pac Heights & the Financial District.
