Gov. Newsom orders indefinite shelter-in-place
We hope you are managing to cope with this new world we are living in! Governor Newsom has ordered a mandatory shelter-in-place indefinitely, and we hope that people take heed.
We also hope, insist, recommend, urge strongly, pray, that you are staying at home and having no contact with people on the outside. It’s just not worth the risk. Stay updated with reliable sources, including:
Even though many grocery stores have set “senior hours” each morning between 8-9am, NEXT Village has volunteers standing by to get your groceries, prescriptions, and so forth for you. MAP of stores at the end of this message. Call us at 415-888-2868 for help, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to place a request or volunteer. We also have volunteers who can check on you every couple of days, visit with you by phone or computer; AND in the coming weeks, we will offer online connections for you and your interest group. We’ll also offer speakers, exercise, and so forth. You will be able to join by phone or on your computer. What we are saying is, we are going to do our best to keep you connected and engaged, just as we did when we could all be together.
In the meantime, here is a list of resource information that might help you pass the time:
